I heard that Magic was folding, but it's not true. I highly doubt Magic is moving, and it would be best not to speculate until concrete information has been posted. These types of rumor's is what makes people who are interested in marching Magic look elsewhere.
We're in this for the long run.

Do you or anyone for that matter happen to know even when audtions might be this year? I need to make plans to get down there and all soon, otherwise my friends and I will have to go with a different corps...Any even estimates of when they will be?

They will be releasing that information regarding the 2007 season in a few weeks. They are busy ironing out details so keep checking the site for the audition date for Magic 2007.

Are you out of your mind? Look for another corps?! You've got to be kidding me. Just because audition information isn't up? Rediculous! Magic is a place where we learn to overcome obstacles, like having to change plans on a moment's notice. 06 taught me this skill quite well.. and if some of you (or your parents) have worries about that, then I would say go to another drum corps. You'll find the exact same thing. Corps move on a tight schedule, but the schedule's are set in stone. Administration is waiting until 07 audition info, staff, and show are set in stone before releasing any information.
Guardmom, your half right. A HANDFULL of corps start auditions the weekend of November 10th. THIS DRUM CORPS most likely will have auditions in early December.
In order for this Drum Corps to go well, we need people who want to be marching and want to work hard, and to be a part of an awesome family. Magic 07 WILL be a family, Magic 07 WILL be incredible. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS BELIEVE

Well considering Magic has had very few returning vets the past few years I think most of them have decided that the obstacles have just been too much with Magic and have decided to move on. Oh my child dealt with those obstacles for two years at Magic.

Well then why don't you move on as well. Or do you have nothing better to do in your life than trying to create issues. Which in that case I feel sorry for you and your life.

To anyone stirring up past "issues":
I have been with this drum corps longer than anyone left to date. I have been around for all of the "issues" past and present. There have been no situations in the past three years that warrant this kind of talk. If you think that the "issues" that you have with the drum corps are really worth posting your grievences on a MESSAGE BOARD... let's put you in someone else's shoes for a moment.
How many drum corps seasons have you personally planned? How many budgets have you written for a competing division one drum corps. How many staff members have you hired and maintained? How many shows have you produced? How many times have you been on the road the whole summer taking care of 135 kids? My guess is going to be never to all of those. Any of your "issues" are really miniscule in the grand scheme of things. From a vet in this organization that has been through far far far far worse than a little bit of stagnant communication, please do us all a favor and take your negativity to another activity. It's ridiculously annoying. If you feel that you can do any better, please, petition to be the director, assitant director, or hell, even a full time volunteer.
As for everyone working their behind off, Curt, Gerry, Bruce, the staff, Pam, you are doing a marvelous job. There are those of us looking at this situation with logic and reason. We know it takes a long time to iron out these details. We know you are working hard. Thank you for all you do. Thank you for all the years I have marched here and you have taken care of me.
PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE.
If anything further needs to be discussed, you can email me at SabreBoy04@yahoo.com, AIM- SabreBoy04, or message me on here. I will be glad to shut down your arguments one by one.
I would like to reiterate that NOTHING you have experienced is HALF of what I have and others have with this drum corps.

Yeah I march drum corps just to march not I NEED TO MARCH Phantom, Devils, SCV, Cadets, Cavies because they get a gold medal...
besides most of the best performers come from "Lower Class" corps where its more about actually teaching something than just using politics to your advantage...
and these are the people who just deal with obsticles/ over come them/ and not let them get in the way...
